Too Bright: This BH Proved What Happened When The Floor Is Too Bright !!!

You need to come and see for your self.

This BH was said to have a total of 30 nests after into operation for about 4 years.

It was abandoned when it was regularly attacked by an owl family.

They moved in and those swiftlet moved out.

I was invited to view what can be done to reactivate it.

What I discovered inside was that all the 30 nests were on the ground floor and nil on the top floor (two stories).

The simple reason why is simple.  The top floor was too bright.

Take a look at the above picture and see why the top floor was too bright.

The person who design this BH have almost zero knowledge on what will happen when the floor is too bright.

He need to attend some kind of a swiftlet workshop to fully understand why those birds needs the BH to be pitch black or dark.

I have seen many BHs wish very similar effect.

A too bright will not have any nests.

A dimly light will have birds but they never erect their nests.

Once the floor is darken they will immediately erect their nests.

They must have some kind of less assured when it is to bright or dimly bright.

All you need is to learn from this article.

Make your nesting room dark.

Stand 2 feet apart and look at each other.

If you cannot see your friend's face then that the darkness those birds love to stay.

Best of luck to all and I hope you learn something from this article.
